Commercial hospitality project

Electrical work for a new restaurant, bar and multi-purpose event space.

Hangar 50 was developed as a new hospitality building at Croft Circuit, with restaurant and bar facilities, a covered terrace and flexible space for corporate events, conferences, exhibitions and motorsport hospitality.

SEM Electrical's work covered the practical electrical infrastructure needed behind that finished space: distribution, containment, power, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm equipment, data cabling, Wi-Fi access points, speaker cabling and CCTV/network equipment.

Scope of work

Power, lighting, safety and data brought together for a live venue environment.

Distribution and containment

Installation of distribution equipment, galvanised conduit, steel trunking, metalclad accessories, sockets and dedicated supplies for the building layout.

Lighting and emergency lighting

General lighting, bar and feature lighting, external lighting, emergency bulkheads, exit signage and emergency lighting test points.

Fire alarm and safety systems

Fire alarm panel, smoke and heat detection, call points, beacons, sounders and associated wiring for the hospitality space.

Data, AV and security infrastructure

Cat6 cabling, fibre link equipment, Wi-Fi access points, speaker cabling, network switch equipment and CCTV camera support.

Finished space

Electrical installation designed to work with the building finish.

The installation needed to support a busy customer-facing space while working neatly with the timber interior, open ceiling areas, kitchen equipment and bar layout.
